  • California List's mission is to elect Democratic women to state government positions.
  • The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is nationally recognized as the leading source of scholarly research and current data about American women’s political participation. Its mission is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about women's participation in politics and government and to enhance women's influence and leadership in public life.
  • Eleanor's Legacy: The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee is building a new generation of pro-choice Democratic women candidates, informed voters, and political activists in New York State.
  • Emily's List's members are dedicated to building a progressive America by electing pro-choice Democratic women to office.
  • Hillary Support Network is a nonpartisan, grassroots, all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that serves as a network of support for Senator Clinton, her public policy priorities, and her political aspirations. Its goal was electing her president in 2008.
  • Council on Women World Leaders's mission is to promote good governance and enhance the experience of democracy globally by increasing the number, effectiveness, and visibility of women who lead at the highest levels in their countries. The Council is a part of the Aspen Institute; its Secretary General is Laura Liswood.
  • Lawyers Club of San Diego seeks to advance the status of women in the law and in society. Lawyers Club is a voluntary bar association, comprised of female and male attorneys, judges, law students and others in the San Diego community who share our interests and goals.
  • San Diego County Bar Association is the region's oldest and largest law-related organization. The voice for San Diego's diverse legal community, the SDCBA aims to support and inform county's lawyers, but also the public and the community. Programs help clients find qualified lawyers, resolve disputes and educate San Diegans on their legal rights and responsibilities.
  • She Should Run, a project of the Women's Campaign Forum, provides information to assist in making a decision to run and to get started on a career in public office.
  • The White House Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that aims to advance women’s leadership in all communities and sectors -- up to the U.S. presidency -- by filling the leadership pipeline with a richly diverse, critical mass of women.
  • Women's Campaign Forum, founded in 1974, is dedicated to advancing the political participation and leadership of women who support reproductive health choices for all.
  • The Women's Campaign School at Yale University is a nonpartisan, issue-neutral political campaign training program whose mission is to provide the very best training in the world for women who want to run for office or who want to move up the ladder to higher elective office.

Lawyers Club of San Diego
Lawyers Club of San Diego is a bar association founded in 1972 with the mission of advancing the status of women in the law and in society. Lawyers Club has more than 1,100 members, including federal and state judges, attorneys and law students.

LEAD San Diego
LEAD is a nonprofit organization focused on developing community leaders who can provide a catalyst for creating a better future for San Diego. LEAD provides local emerging leaders with an overview of the region and the issues that impact it, access to San Diego’s leadership, and a network of people and organizations that help.

League of Women Voters of San Diego
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

California Federation of Democratic Women
CFDW is affiliated with the National Federation of Democratic Women, which works to unite Democratic women, to promote the cause of the Democratic Party, and to encourage full participation of women in every level of the Democratic Party structure.

California Federation of Republican Women
CFRW is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women and provides an avenue of political involvement for women who share the Republican philosophy.

California List
The mission of California List is to elect Democratic women to state government positions. Founded in 2002, California List is modeled after EMILY’s List, which recommends pro-choice, Democratic women candidates nationally to its members.

California Women Lead
Founded in 1974 as California Elected Womens Association for Education and Research (CEWAER), California Women Lead is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association for women holding, or interested in holding, elected and appointed public office.

California Women’s Leadership Association
CWLA believes in the basic principles of conservatism, which emphasize smaller government, individual freedom, responsibility and accountability, and view the government as a facilitator, not a regulator, in the private sector. CWLA PAC provides contributions to elect fiscally conservative Republican women to state offices.

Emerge California
Emerge California is a political leadership training program for Democratic women in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its mission is to identify, educate and inspire Democratic women who want to pursue elective office at the local and state level in California. Emerge makes a long-term investment in these future leaders by honing their political skills, expanding their knowledge of local issues, and connecting them with mentors.

League of Women Voters of California
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

EMILY’s List
EMILY’s List is one of the nation’s largest grassroots political networks and the largest financial resource for women candidates. It uses a three-pronged strategy for victory: recruit and fund pro-choice, Democratic women candidates; help them build and run effective campaigns; and mobilize women voters to help elect progressive candidates across the nation.

International Women’s Democracy Center
The IWDC was established in 1995 to strengthen women’s global leadership through training, education, networking and research with a focus on increasing the participation of women leaders in politics, policy and decision making within their own governments. IWDC’s Pipeline Project provides political training for U.S. women ages 18-35.

League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization promoting participation in government, increasing understanding of public policy issues, and influencing public policy through education and advocacy.

National Federation of Democratic Women
Founded in 1971, the Federation works to unite women of the Democratic Party, to promote the cause of the Democratic Party, and to encourage full participation of women in every level of the Democratic Party structure. The NFDW PAC provides financial support for Democratic women, Democratic candidates and other Democratic committees nationwide.

National Federation of Republican Women
Founded in 1938, the Federation is a grassroots political organization that works to strengthen the Republican Party by recruiting, training and electing candidates, advocating the party’s philosophy and initiatives, and empowering women of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds in the political process.

National Organization for Women
The National Organization for Women is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States, with 500,000 contributing members and 550 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Since its founding in 1966, NOW’s goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women – working to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society; secure abortion, birth control and reproductive rights for all women; end all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia; and promote equality and justice in our society. The White House Project
The White House Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that aims to advance women’s leadership in all communities and sectors – up to the U.S. presidency – by filling the leadership pipeline with a richly diverse, critical mass of women. The White House Project sponsors Go Run Political Leadership Training Programs nationwide, Debate Boot Camps, and other leadership training events.

Women’s Campaign Forum
Women’s Campaign Forum is a nonpartisan, pro-choice, national membership organization dedicated to ensuring that women become leaders in public life. WCF and its affiliated PAC work to recruit, launch and support pro-choice women for elected office.

Women Under Forty Political Action Committee
WUFPAC is a nonpartisan political action committee that supports women 40 years of age and under running for state and federal public office. WUFPAC’s mission is: to help elect more young women to elected office so that young women have an equal voice in shaping public policy; and to build the seniority of women in Congress by electing women at a young age.
